Guilderland Water Department is upgrading its Water Meters beginning September 2025. VEPO Metering has been contracted to replace the Towns Water Meters that are 1.5" or smaller. There is no cost for the replacement, but you are required to have your Water Meter replaced and a Meter Transmitter installed .
To Install the new equipment VEPO Metering will require:
- Access to the meter inside your home
- The water meter area to be clear and accessible
- An adult 18 years or older needs to be present at the time of installation
A four-hour block will be scheduled. Once the technician arrives the meter installation should take approximately 30 minutes. Water usage will be suspended during this time. You will receive a mailed notification when it is your time to schedule an installation appointment. The notification will include information on how to reserve a date and four-hour block for your water meter replacement.
