Payment Options

Fees may be paid by cash, check, or cc. 

Online, by mail, or in person at the Town Clerk's Office.

• To use the Online Portal, your rabies certificate must be up-to-date. 
• You can email your updated Rabies Certificate to the Town Clerk.

New York State requires that all dogs over 4 months must be licensed.

The Town Clerk's Office issues dog licenses under the authority of the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.

To obtain a license, the owner must provide to the Town Clerk's Office the following veterinary documentation:

1. Proof of Current Rabies Vaccination.
2. Proof of the dog having been spayed or neutered (only if the dog has been altered)

The dog license must be renewed every year.

Renewal notices will be sent out annually; however, if you move out of the Town, please get in touch with the Town Clerk's Office to update the dog's information.

Dog Licensing Fees

• Spayed or Neutered - $10
• Unaltered dog - $20
• Senior Resident - $5
• Senior Resident unaltered dog - $10
• Under six months unaltered dog - $10
