Informal Review

Residents have the option to request review of their property at an Informal level between the resident and the Town Assessor. Be sure to complete the Informal Review form and submit your proof of value information for determination no later than April 1st of each year.

Dates, Hours for Questions About the Tentative Assessment Roll by Phone

  • From May 1, 2025 to May 27, 2025
    9 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
  • And specifically: 
  • May 6, 2025 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

    May 19, 2025 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • May 14, 2025 – 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. by appointment only (Wednesday)
  • May 17, 2025 – 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. by appointment only (Saturday)

Date & Times for Hearing Formal Assessment Grievances

  • May 27, 2025, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm by appointment only. Grievances will be heard in person. Grievance Forms must be submitted prior to the scheduling of appointments.
  • Last date for filing assessment grievance complaint: May 27, 2025, before 8 pm.

Grievance forms are available on the Town and NYS ORPTS websites. Submit forms via in person, drop box, or mail. The Board of Assessment Review must receive the form prior to 8 pm May 27th.

Please Note: Submit an Owner-Signed Original Rp-524 Grievance Application (Required) and two copies of all documents to the board of assessment review

**Attach your proof of value - Any Materials submitted become Board of Assessment Review property. Please make photocopies**
