The deadline for the 2023 Early Bird membership discount is December 31, 2022. While the golf course is still open, you can drop off your membership at the Pro Shop or at the Guilderland Parks and Recreation office (located across from Tawasentha Park in the white building with the greenhouse attached). After the course closes for 2022, all membership applications and payments should be mailed to: Guilderland Parks and Recreation, 181 Route 146, Altamont, NY 12009, Attention: Amy Boyt or dropped off by appointment only.

If you have any questions, please call the Pro Shop at Western Turnpike Golf Course at 518-456-0786 or the Parks and Recreation Office at 518-456-3150. A 2023 Golf membership makes a great holiday gift! Gift certificates are also available at the Parks and Recreation office, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 3:30 pm.

Bring in two forms of identification to the Pro Shop. A utility bill or tax bill and your license or passport are sufficient. There is a $5 fee for the ID card. Please contact the Pro Shop at 518-456-0786, if you have additional questions.

The Town of Guilderland offers residents and non-residents the opportunity to purchase yearly memberships that permit unlimited golf, 7 days a week, for one season. The membership includes all league play, outings, and holidays.

We have an all-grass driving range with up to 35 spots to hit from. You can use every club in the bag as the range is 320 yards long. When you are done working on your full swing, you can use our complete short-game practice facility, including three practice greens.

We have 27 holes that are broken down into three separate nine-hole courses. It gives us the unique advantage of allowing more players on the golf course and gives our members and league players more variety to play.

We are open to the public. The golf course is open 7 days a week and we look forward to booking tee times, outings, and leagues to public players.

We currently have about 35 leagues that play at Western Turnpike. Please contact us if you are interested in joining a league or starting your own league at 518-456-0786.
