All dogs four months of age or older residing within the Town of Guilderland must be licensed as a matter of public safety.
You can license your dog by mail by sending in:
- Print the Dog License Renewal Form (PDF)
- Proof of current rabies certificate is required, certificate of spay/neuter, if applicable.
- $10 for dogs that are spayed/neutered.
- $20 for dogs that are not altered.
- $5 for seniors (owner the age of 65) with dogs that are spayed/neutered.
- $10 for seniors (owner the age of 65) with dogs that are not altered.
- $10 for dogs under 6 months that are not altered.
- A license is valid for one year. A renewal notice will be sent to the owner prior to the expiration date.
- Please make checks out to the Town of Guilderland.

Please bring your car registration for the vehicle you will be using that shows your Guilderland address.
Please note: PO Box addresses are not acceptable. If your car registration has a P.O. Box address, please bring a utility bill with your address.
