The Guilderland Parks & Recreation Department will begin booking Tawasentha Park pavilion and picnic area reservations to Guilderland residents on Monday, January 5, 2026 (updated date due to the town's holiday schedule - town offices will be closed on Thursday, January 1st and January 2nd, 2026). The office will open at 8:00 a.m. Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-in reservations (with payment) will take priority over phone, faxed or emailed reservation requests.
Facility rentals are available from May 1 – October 31 of each year, Monday – Sunday, with the exception of summer day camp dates or during special events.
To reserve a facility or picnic area, a Request for Use of Facilities/Know the Rules form must be submitted with full payment (credit card, check or cash) to the Town of Guilderland Parks & Recreation Dept. Forms can be dropped off or mailed to the Guilderland Parks & Recreation Department at 181 State Route 146, Altamont, NY 12009, or faxed to 518-456-3156.
Please note: Only Guilderland residents can reserve a pavilion. Proof of residency is required at the time of booking. A facility rental does not include pool admission fees. All pool admission fees are separate. Non-swimmers are still charged the appropriate admission fee to access the pool area.
